Compulsory insurance for cases of occupational disability due to accidents and occupational diseases in production.
According to the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Mandatory Insurance against Loss of Professional Workability due to Accidents at Work and Occupational Diseases, the following individuals are obligated to conclude mandatory insurance contracts:- Legal entities with the status of a legal person established in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan or foreign states, including their branches and representative offices;
- State authorities;
- Individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activities without creating a legal entity;
- Elected bodies;
- Individuals engaged in individual entrepreneurial and labor activities
According to the Law, an insurance event is determined based on the following:- An act drawn up in the form prescribed by the relevant executive authority regarding an accident at work, or a court decision on the occurrence of an accident at work for which a mandatory insurance contract should be concluded;
- A decision by the relevant executive authority confirming the degree of loss of professional workability due to an accident at work or occupational disease, or a death certificate of the person.
Compulsory personal accident insurance
Compulsory personal accident insurance of passengers is applied for the purpose of providing insurance coverage for damage to the life and health of passengers on air, water, railway and road transport vehicles that provide passenger transportation services.
Compulsory Property Liability Insurance for the Use of Property
Compulsory Property Liability Insurance for the Use of Real Estate is applied with the purpose of compensating for the damage to third parties' health and property during the use of real estate, including construction, renovation, reconstruction, or other activities on the property and its territory.
Compulsory Property Insurance
Compulsory Property Insurance is applied with the purpose of compensating for the damage, destruction, or loss of property resulting from fire or other accidents.
Compulsory Motor Vehicle Owners' Property Liability Insurance
Compulsory Motor Vehicle Owners' Property Liability Insurance is applied for the purpose of compensating for the damage caused to the health of individuals and the property of both physical and legal persons as a result of the use of mechanical motor vehicles on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
